You Look Familiar

We all went out for supper tonight to In N Out one of our favorite, most yummiest, and cheap places to go. I was excited because it's Wednesday and we usually only eat out on Fridays. We are all in a good mood and all happy. BTW I am also having one of those days where I feel like the young, hip, fun mom that is carefree and even do I dare say thin and pretty. Paul is waiting for our food, the boys are getting the drinks and ketchup and I am saving the table. I notice the table is dirty so I ask the young lady walking around checking trashcans and such if she could wipe our table for us. she looks at me and says "you look so familiar..." I'm thinking oh, maybe she goes to our church or perhaps she's seen me at some school. "do you have a daughter that goes to Desert Ridge HIGH School?" I smile and say nope I have 2 sons-- right on cue the boys come back to the table and sit down. The In N Out girl and bad judger of age then exits stage left.

I still think I am young, hip, cool, thin and can be pretty. However, I know when I go to bed tonight and brush my hair those white hairs will catch the light and not seem so blondish = )

  1. I wouldn't be too offended. I worked with some young 30's who had kids in high school. Women have babies young. I use to get offended if someone thought I was 18 when I was 25. Now, I don't get that anymore and I am happy about it. I think you are very young looking and cute!

  2. i would've punched her...okay, i would have wanted to punch her...when i was a young 20 something and my lil sis was in high school, somebody asked me if she was my daughter. I was like, "you wish 40 looked this good!" Again, didn't say it but wanted to. BTW, I think you look awesome, especially in that hot yellow dress you wore at KidStuf last month!
