Tuesday Tips-- TOYS

Well, it is time for the organization tip of the week---- TOYS. If you have kids I can guarantee there are toys in your house. Here are 3 ways to cut down on the clutter toys bring:

1. Put away all toys every night at bedtime.
We do allow them to keep special creations out such as really amazing train tracks, phenomenal Lego creations, and stellar Lincoln log cities have been known to stay out a few days = )

2. Make sure every toy has a home-- if there is not enough room to do this then you have too many toys! One way to fix this problem is to put some toys in storage and rotate the toys every 3 months or so (the kids think they are new!) You could also donate the extra toys to your local charity.

3. We try to keep most of the toys in their bedrooms. Hint: storage containers the shallow big ones are good for Legos, Lincoln Logs, matchbox cars, train tracks, nerf guns, etc. and fit under most beds!!-- Can you tell we have boys!! They would also work for girl stuff as well = )

These ideas help keep things in order and show your children the benefits of keeping things in place-- they can find what they are looking for!!! Our boys maintain the picking up so about every other week I "help" them clean up and get things re-sorted again.

Have a great day!
