Tuesday Tips

Okay friends here is a suggestion to end those last minute trips to the store that eat up your time, gas in the car and your money.

Here's what I do every 2 weeks:
1. Look at the calendar to see if I need to make treats for group, bring snacks for school or ball games, if we're having company, etc.

2. Look through my recipes and see what sounds tasty-- and try one new recipe too!

3. I also try to get at least 2 crock pot recipes, 1 grill, and one super easy recipe that only takes like 15 minutes... this way I can be prepared for busy days or days when I can't be home at 5 to cook.

4. I write down all the main dishes and the sides... and if you know me well I also write down what desserts I will be baking as well ; )

5. Use that list to make my grocery list.

This usually takes me about 30 minutes. But, it saves me so much time in thinking about supper, grabbing stuff at the store, and chaos at dinnertime.
