I so need to finish the vacation blog so I can get up to date on the happenings since vacation! So, tonight I will finish the vacation. This is Leg 4 our drive from Denver, CO to just south of Montrose, CO. We drove that on Monday, June 29th. Ridgway State Park was amazing due to the mountain bike trails, grand scenery and flush toilets! The San Juan Mountains were the back drop for this part of our trip. While at Ridgway and the surrounding towns (Montrose and Ridgway, CO) we saw The Black Canyon of the Gunnison (a breathtaking look at the Black Canyon which is deeper than the Grand Canyon), white water kayaking on the Uncompaghre River (the boys each took a turn with dad un- guided in an inflatable "duckie"), a real drive- in movie (we saw UP and non of my guys had ever been to a drive-in), and of course campfires and smore's.
