So, in an effort to help my friends and because I've been asked to share my um, let's say *talent* with you, I am starting Tuesday Tips.
Today's topic: the stuff you never seem to have time for
the "above and beyond" cleaning.
the "above and beyond" cleaning.
Write down the big jobs you want to accomplish-- then limit them to 12. Do one each month. That way you have an entire month to do it and it is a job that you know will get done at least once a year. My list includes:
January-- pick out new pictures for all the frames in the house and put new pics in. (since I know I am doing this I make a folder on the computer and if there are great pictures throughout the year then I put a copy of that pic in the folder throughout the year.)
February- clean the refrigerator/freezer and the oven (like take out all the shelves, clean inside and out; also pull out from wall and clean floor underneath)
March- windows and curtains/blinds
April- bedroom closets ( this is when the seasons change-- so we get rid of the winter and I make a list of what is needed for each kid next fall/winter--- these clothes are on clearance now!!)
May- outside work-- yard clean up, flower planting, clean garage
June-- baseboards and ceiling fans
July-- window sills and plant shelves (plant shelves are these awful things in AZ houses that are built in shelves that are about 10 feet off the ground and just "blend into the wall" which means they are textured and painted like the wall so dusty and you have to scrub with water)
August-- school (I home school so here I map out the year, lesson plan, and purchase supplies)
September-- bedroom closets (seasons change-- get rid of summer and make a list for next year-- the summer clothes are on clearance so buy for next year)
October-- windows again! It is so dusty here : )
November-- planning , shopping, and Christmas letter.
December-- Christmas baking : )
Your list will be different than mine, but you can see how it works!! Happy planning : 0

That's a great idea... I love it!
